NarendraModi won
the state elections and became the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2001
and since then has been continuously growing on popularity as a
distinguishable leader. The popularity meter of this great leader is
so prominently visible after he had made his hat-trick in the
Gujarat’s Dec 2012 Elections & became the Chief Minister for
the Third time in a row. His party, the BJP strongly depends on his
ambitious and proactive reputation while the other parties have a
great fear of him having as their opponent considering it as a sure
shot bad-luck.
We
all know about the rapid development taking place in Gujarat, no
doubt it has been a strongest reason for him to win the elections of
2007 over-shadowing the Hindu-Muslim issues for which he was blamed.
Not to forget getting a lot of praise and friends among the
non-political figures like Amitabh Bachchan, which is no doubt an
instant boost for anybody’s reputation.
So are these the only reasons for a Chief Minister of a state to be more popular than the Prime Minister of the country?
Of-course
not! The biggest reason for his popularity is his “Social
Presence“.
If a political leader wants to succeed he has to reach the common man
and address the social concerns which would directly or indirectly be
in the welfare of citizen. A common citizen today, doesn’t have the
time to sit between the phony crowd and listen to the same old
promises made by politicians year after year.
So
where is the common man sitting? You will find them on Facebook,
Twitter and other social networking sites. The common man are the
students, employees, businessman, housewives, etc. And in today’s
digital world, you will find all of them sharing concerns, ideas on
none other than the social networking sites.
That is where Narendra Modi is well ahead of other politicians. He knows where the crowd is and so is easily available for his admirers and even critics. He knows the importance of getting connected to people & how to exploit & explore the Internet medium for it !! By far he uses the various social media tools very beautifully and brilliantly than any other politicians.
This
people’s favourite political leader has a dedicated website
http://www.narendramodi.in/ where he also encourages people to share
their ideas or opinions on the Citizen Wall.
It’s
been 4 years now since Narendra Modi had a Facebook and Twitter
account. The latest in news is him going beyond Facebook and Twitter
to other popular
social networking sites like StumbleUpon,
Pinterest, Tumblr and Flickr.
You
can follow the Techno-friendly political leader and share your ideas
or just be a part of his strong vision for a strong nation.
